Pattern & Die

A Pattern is a replica of the object to be cast, used to prepare the cavity into which molten material will be poured during the Sand casting process.

M/S.Sunmech Engineering dealing with Aluminum Pattern, Wooden pattern; Cast Iron Pattern and Aluminum die (suitable for Investment casting) based on customer requirements.

Castings

Casting can produce isotropic metal parts in bulk quantities, as a result, making it suitable for mass production. Furthermore, to meet specific user requirements, there are different types of casting that differ by the material and mold used.

We are deals with Sand Castings, Investment Castings, Die Castings (GDC & PDC) and Shell castings for various steel grades as per ASTM, AISI,DIN and IS standards.

Machining Components and Bought-Out Items

Machining is a process that uses tools like milling, shaping, drilling, etc. to work on raw material to give it different shape or size. We have tied-up with contractors for CNC Turning, VMC, HMC and Surface Grinding..

Bought out component means a manufactured (industrial) product, which forms part of the finished product. We are deals with Fastners, Flanges, Connectors, Valve accessories etc.,

Fabrication Items

Metal fabrication is the creation of metal structures by cutting, bending and assembling processes.

M/s.Sunmech Engineering is having tied-up with IBR approved facility to manufacture Butterfly valve bodies, Earth moving equipment components, Storage Tanks, Process Equipments, Static & Rotary Equipments as per ASME, ASTM, DIN, IS Standards.

SG - Iron Castings

Spheroidal graphite iron is a type of cast-iron that has been treated while molten with an element such as magnesium to induce the formation of free graphite as nodules or spheulites.

Aluminium - End covers

High-Pressure Die Casting process is the fastest and most cost effective manufacturing process available for producing precious high integrity net-shape aluminium components.

Wooden Pattern

The top and bottom halves of a sand casting mould showing the cavity prepared by patterns. Cores to accommodate holes can be seen in the bottom half of the mould, which is called the DRAG. The top of the mould is called as COPE.

Phosphor branze ring-castings

A branzes alloy that contains a mixture of copper with tin and phosphorous. The benefits are high fatigue resistance, excellent formability and high corrosion resistance.

Investment Die (Lost-Wax)

Investment cast tooling is made from hardened aluminium. The tool creates the wax pattern that molten metal is poured into for Investment casting.

Mr.M.RaviKumar holds Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Hons.)and Master Degree in Business Management. He is having rich experience in Supply Chain sector and has expertise in Foundry operations and Valve manufacturing etc. having wide experience of around 25years, has worked with various esteemed organizations like Autoshell casts, Interfit Technocast,Sanmar Engineering Corporation,KSB Pumps Ltd., and Orbinox valves (AVK group) etc., He is responsible for the overall working of the Company and is instrumental in making strategic decisions for the Company.

Mr. Vasanth Kuppusamy the Director-Operations, graduated with a Diploma of Engineering, where he specialized in Purchase and manufacturing sector... He has over two decades of Rich experience in the Engineering sector. He heads the Operaions, Accounts and Purchase departments of the Company. He has worked as a Assistant Manager with Orbinox Valves (AVK Group) and Purchase team in VAG Valves. He has joined the Directors of the Company with effect from Feb 1, 2023.
